Exploring CoinOPS 6

Browsing through my installation after upgrading to CoinOPS 6 a few months ago. Development of new packs is going much faster now I don't have to deal with public distribution - I've added another 1000+ games since making this video.

CoinOPS PC-Engine CD Pack 1

This pack took me more than three months to create.  Three months of teeth grinding, hair pulling frustration!  The biggest issue was the cd-audio going quickly out of sync.  I ended up watching the intro to double dragon many times trying with different ways of processing the game image files.  Even with the solution I ended up with the sound can easily drift out of sync but to a much lesser extent than the worst examples.

Still the effort was almost worth it, this is a very obscure system with some interesting games.

CoinOPS Amstrad CPC configuration options

To help games to launch with one click it is often necessary to tell the emulator in advance which file to load.  Occasionally keyboard mapping or other options are required.  This video demonstrates how simple it is to set up Amstrad CPC game configuration options for the CoinOPS emulator front end.

CoinOPS Atari 8-Bit Megapack 2

A further set of 8-Bit games for the Atari 800, 800 XL, XE, 320, and 130.

Many of the games are from the "silver age" of Atari software in Poland and Czechoslovakia where the Atari and variants were very popular.
