CoinOPS 7 R5 Additions preview, and DOS configuration demo

A quick preview of the additions for CO7 R5.  The included arcade roms from BP contain some control and performance enhancements.  The version of Vendetta from adn is a dodgy x-rated version.  The rest are additions I had requested.  Lots of spectrum additions and a start to looking at filling out the dos section with more 80s Dos games, particularly infocom text adventures.  At the end of the video is a demo of setting up a dos game.

CoinOPS Amstrad CPC configuration options



To help games to launch with one click it is often necessary to tell the emulator in advance which file to load.  Occasionally keyboard mapping or other options are required.  This video demonstrates how simple it is to set up Amstrad CPC game configuration options for the CoinOPS emulator front end.

A further set of Amstrad CPC games, some good and many bad.  Of particular interest is the Amstrad CPC version of Final Fight which shows just how bad a game could be and yet still be released commercially.

CoinOPS Amstrad Megapack 2

The Amstrad CPC platform came in third place in the UK 8-bit home computer area.  Despite having perhaps the best colour pallette it did not benefit from the hardware tricks of the C64, nor the flexibility of the ZX Spectrum.  Many of the games are slower than their Sinclair and Commodore counterparts.  However there are some very good exclusives such as Get Dexter that do show the potential of the hardware.
