CoinOPS 8 R2 Avant Additions

459 games have been added to the supported game list of CoinOPS with the R2 release.  These are suggested by the community in the CoinOPS forum.  Personally I made a small number of requests as the bulk of my current pack work was added to the list with CoinOPS 8.  However with this small number of games across a variety of platforms I have been able to quickly produce an interesting and varied pack with many highlights.

CoinOPS 7 R5 Additions preview, and DOS configuration demo

A quick preview of the additions for CO7 R5.  The included arcade roms from BP contain some control and performance enhancements.  The version of Vendetta from adn is a dodgy x-rated version.  The rest are additions I had requested.  Lots of spectrum additions and a start to looking at filling out the dos section with more 80s Dos games, particularly infocom text adventures.  At the end of the video is a demo of setting up a dos game.

CoinOPS 7 R4 Computer/Console additions (preview)

Just made the videos and recorded doing a video test run through and started testing the first few games. Any games / videos that fail then will have to be checked / replaced / configured. Exhausting work but worth it to add these interesting games to the collection! :)

I started this pack in Christmas 2014 by looking over the current supported list and identifying "interesting" games that were not already on the list.  Interesting does not necessarily mean good and rewarding of course, but for me it was important to cover some of the minutiae of C64 games history, and to fill out the back catalogue of most of the major software publishers.

By March 2015 I had finished creating the videos and by April 2015 I had started testing and configuring the games.  By July 2015 I have now finished and have a completed megapack of C64 games that play perfectly from the initial game selection screen.

This pack is available to all those who have access to the CoinOPS FTP site.

A reminder: because of people selling xboxes containing packs I have made in the past, all packs I make now are only available to other people who contribute to the project.  The only people who should profit financially from the sale of games are the original developers and copyright holders.
